Ten Things Project was founded by Become What You Believe out of the simple desire to help improve communication between non-Christians and Christians. While we read articles that state that most people are receptive to the Christian message or possibly even coming to church, many of us have had different experiences...some people are downright hostile to even wanting to talk about it. Additionaly, we felt that the Church did not have an accurate picture of how "the world" views Christians or the Christian message. There is a big disconnect somewhere between what we as Christians are trying to say to non-Christians and what non-Christians are hearing. As a way to start the conversation and to give non-Christians (and possibly Christians) an opportunity to say what they really think, the Ten Things Project was born. Now, a word about our use of the word "hate". We are not refering to hate in the extreme sense, but more in the sense of having an aversion to or how we tend to use the word in our day to day lives... "I hate it when...". As we begin to collect the data from the site we will make that available to whoever wants to know what we discovered. If you are a Church leader or Pastor we encourage you to link up with us in this. Join the discussion group. Sign up to receive the results. Pray over what information is coming out of this and use it to better represent Jesus in your community. Tom Ingram If you are curious about, why "ten things"...click here. |
